my car is 245hp at the wheels

15. Clearly you didn't watch the video. I only say watch the video so you won't have to take my word for it. I use an '05 S2000 in HPDE's at Sears Point, Laguna Seca, and Thunderhill in the advanced group. I am good friends with an Elise owner and an aquaintence of a couple others. We are all very hard core drivers with our pride on our sleeves every time we go out there. I am pleased to say that the S2000 is a faster car on all these tracks by a very comfortable margin. Two things you should know...the Elise comes stock with type-R, DOT legal race tires. The S2000 does not...I use DOT legal race tires at the track and this catapalts the S out front of the Elise in handling. Point #2...the 2.2L S2000 are under rated by 35 horsepower as proven by many owners at the dyno. That means they are producing 245hp at the wheels and 265hp at the flywheel. The S2000 is just plain faster in every aspect. Watch the video...the link is on the bottom of my previous post.
ha! take that Benedict "Dogman" Arnold! I'm keeping my S Forever and Ever and Everrererer.
Where's the vid? Lotus had it removed before releasing the Elise in Canada!
I'm hoping the extra ponies will make it a better drifter too. As it is now it drifts great in rain on the R comps.

I'm a believer now!
Also -- my brother in law is a hill climber in his '05 Evo RS. He also plays Grand Tourisimo (sp?). I tried the game a few times. The game seems somewhat true to life, and from our experiences, it seems very "fair". Try racing the Elise versus other cars in the same category. Increase the difficulty. What we found is that it was easier to beat out the other cars with the Elise, then it was with others (i.e. his Evo).
