Hi guys, been lurking around this forum for awhile and I finally bought a s2k. So excited now and since I am planning to drive this car in the winter (possibly) and I am debating should I go for the OEM hardtop or the Mugen hardtop??? And anyone know any good place I can get those???

Once again nice meeting you all
Speedstar has a really good sale on the Mugen hardtop right now. I went OEM, but if I had known about the sale would have gotten from Speedstar in a heartbeat.

Wow thanks for the response guys, I will definitely check out speedstar with the mugen top. I had a feeling if I mugen hardtop, I would need to buy other mugen stuff to complete the package. Looking forward for tax return next year after I get the hardtop lol

Just placed my deposit and mine will arrive in November, which is about time. I was at speedstar with my wife and she actually encourage the order as perviously she banned my idea of lowering and exhaust. I guess she understand the functionality of the Hardtop. Anyways, great service there.

Really dumb question..you have to paint the FRP top when you get it right? Doesn't come in your OEM colour does it? (hoping??)

Nevermind, just went to the Speedstar site, the top comes without paint. I suppose the price of the top would be more like $3500 with paint?

Or... Man Up and try to brave the cold with the top down

Have fun w. the car man!
fixed

I like the Mugen top. Do I miss mine? Not really, since I do like top down better; but between Mugen vs OEM, I'd say Mugen.

Lack of defrost was a non issue to me, since my soft top doesn 'thave the defrost anyway being a '00 and all.

Quick Reply: Mugen Hard top or OEM Hard top?
