Could someone explain to the S newbie what this tape is and how it looks before/after? Let me in on this!

It's a black vinyl tape that overlays the painted surface around your windshield. So both "A" pillars.

Black with it on..... Paint colour with it off

No, ugly with it on, beautiful with it off.

Black cars don't have the tape, hence another reason why black is best.

Jarek, take a look at this pic (not a great one)...look for the 2 yellows and the windshield frame...

I see that.. nice.. no wonder you guys take that tape off. Looks much better without it.. at least on the yellow edition.
So if I'm correct only the silver in the far back has the tape off right? What is the reasoning behind it? Paint protection?

that silver in the far back is none other than the infamous Nimesh.

Just look at the bling bling rims.

The reasoning behind the tape is just an inside JDM joke that Honda plays on it's round eye customers...

I like it too..if I had to do it over I probably wouldn't.

I love the way it looks with the HT on, but when its off its just yellow.
