I just backed out of my driveway without applying the breaks and it still did the loud pop exactly at the moment when it hit the bump at the end of the driveway. So it seems the breaks play no part.

Grab the sway bar end and give it a hard lift up and down to see if there's play.
You could also put a jack under the lower control arm and jack it up to see if you can get it to make that pop. (make sure the car is level and secured)
This should be a straight forward thing for a mechanic to diag if you're not comfortable doing it yourself

The issue is you keep driving it and describing noises instead of bringing it somewhere to get looked at. Loose bolts will definately causes a similar noise to what you've described

The appointment to have it looked at is today. I have to wait for the day and time they give me. I haven't really driven it much as I know there is a problem. These guys took a while to get the car in their shop, but better than some independent Honda specialists. Some of those guys is a 3 week wait. Common sense really. I will update the thread after they look at the car today.

So, the update is that they took a look and found a rubber piece that is installed on the springs while the car is on the transporter that they are supposed to remove on the PDI on brand new cars. It has been there for 15 years now... lol.
That, however is not the cause of the noise. They said everything looks safe and tight but they could not determine where it was coming from. Right in front of the service bay there is a hump that you have to drive over. I heard the noise as the car went up the hump "pop!" and then when the car landed front the hump "pop!" again. Seems to be at that moment when the front end shifts its weight to go up or down.
I mentioned tightening bolts, strut mounts, compliance bushings and the rest but he said he will have a look again another day. So what they did was take a quick look around and spray some WD40 under the shock boots. They didn't charge me. The saga continues.

Well, to give an update, I specifically asked to have the subframe bolts re-tightened to spec. The problem has gone away.
Seems like bolts can get loose over time. Tightening them up has done the job
