Looking for an S2000 in Toronto around $12k
Hi guys,
I'm brand new to the boards, I live in Toronto and I've wanted an S2000 since 2001 when my girlfriend's father bought a brand new one in red; I've been waiting to buy since
I have a limited budget, but I'd love to get into an S2K before the summer, so I'm wondering if anyone has one for sale in the GTA around $10-12k. I know it's on the low end, and I don't expect a perfect low-mileage car, but something driveable, cert and e-tested would be great. I just missed out on a beautiful blue 2003 for 10,500 and I'm kicking myself.
I'd prefer a MY 2003 or later simply because I'll be financing the purchase partially, and they don't like anything older than that, but I'd ssee what the lender said if something older came up.
Anyways, I appreciate your time, and I look forward to contributing to the board as a new owner one day soon
You can email me at john@jtwo.ca, or call me at 905-330-9532, my name is John (pls let me know if posting my phone number is not allowed)

gl with finding an S for 10-12 k.... if you want one thats is a rebuild or theft recovery then that makes sence and you should include it in your post. The blue one you missed out on was a rebuild. I saw that as well.

its possible to find the good deals, last may i got my 02 GPW/ALL RED,80 000 (kms) for 15,000 USD. but i suggest expanding your budget to at least 15k. 10-12k priced s2ks are always kinda sketchy, well to me at least.

rebuilt title can mean a lot of things
i rather get a rebuilt previous theft recovery than rebuilt previous accident vehicle
to get 03+ s2k with a 10-12k budget don't expect to get anything amazing, at the end of the day you're getting what you're paying for

Or look in the state and drive it up yourself. I've seen a couple AP1s in the market place not to far from toronto (NY, Ohio)...that or ask your bank manager to increase your line of credit by $5000.

A few months agao I test drove an ap1 that was priced at 12k, it was the worst car that I have ever driven in my life. I tried buying an s2k priced at 10k in the auto trader and it turned out to be an internet scam.
If you can boost up your budget a bit more you can get an s2k that will serve you much better in the long term. I started looking for an s2k in your price range a few months ago, I ended up increasing my budget by 5k and I bought a 2002 that I can keep for many years, glad that I did it that way in the end.
