Looking for S2000, no end in sight
Been looking for a good chunk of time now. Missed out on some good deals (Cars sold in a day) but I'm patient. Thought I would post a thread as Autotrader and Kijiji have nothing good that's priced reasonably.
What I am looking for:
AP2 only
Less than 100,000 kms
No accidents
Very subtle modifications or none
White, yellow or red exterior colour preferred (don't mind silver and black though)
Car located in Ontario (no time to travel out of province or country)
Cash in hand
Budget is currently at $22,000. May be willing to go up from there if the car is mint.

Do you post on RFD? Seen you there with the NFR Avatar hehe... Yeah just keep looking man don't sleep on it when you see that perfect listing on autotrader make the call ASAP to see it... I was scouting on it for a good 6 months before I bought mine.
Check the for sale thread there's a few cars there that you may be interested in.

It's going to depend on how much you want to spend. If you want a decent car but you are being unrealistic on your pricing, you will wait forever and never pull the trigger.
You have to match your budget with realistic market values. Can you get a S2000 for $11k? Yes. Can you get an S2k with under 100,000km with a clean title for $11k? No.
As you know I am also looking but I want a white one. If I was not being so picky on colour I could have pulled the trigger on around 10 cars already with between 70-150km and clean titles. Most in the $15k range and all were AP1s.
Pricing has come down to more realistic levels now that spring is over, and they will fall again once summer is over, but for right now, pricing is average so expect to pay $15,000+ for a decent AP1 and $18k+ for AP2s all the way to $30,000 depending on the year and condition.

I noticed this car two if not 3 weeks ago. Surprised it has not sold. It's a little far away but not too outrageous. The lady said the windshield was replaced but no accidents. I haven't done a carfax on it. To be honest I absolutely love AP2s but I am thinking about this one...
