Looking for F22 engine
Hi guys,
I had a little problem with my car and now I'm left with no engine. Trying to locate an engine for 2004 S2K, if anybody has one or know of someone who does, please message me.
Thanks,
Ryan

I caught in the crazy rain storm last Friday, did not really go through big puddles, but I guess the rain was so heavy the engine had been zipping water slowly. Now it's hydro locked and will not turn. , worst day of my life, this has never happened to me before, was so shocked. Shit happens, can't do much about it. Hope I can find an engine soon and be back in the game before the summer ends, had big plans for the car this summer, looks like all of it's going to go into a new engine.

If it's only hydrolock not any other damage, would it possible to remove the spark plugs and crank the engine couple of times to throw out the water? Or use a slope of cotton threads to extract water in the combustion chambers... Worst case remove the cylinder head?

If the engine just shut off and didn't crack the block or rods, you could pull the spark plugs and disconnect the fuel pump fuse and crank the engine over to remove the water. Dump the oil and throw in some cheap stuff and crank it several more times, To circulate the new oil. Dump the oil and put in some good stuff and then put everything back together and start the engine.
This should have been done asap.

just a hypothetical question here, but how does water trickling in cause your engine to hydrolock? by the time the water reaches the combustion chamber I'm sure it's easily hotter than 100c unless it's a crapton of water getting in? I mean the pistons are like 700c alone, you'd think it would be able to vaporize some water instantly?

Maybe if it was the smallest amount of water but anything more and it messes up the air/fuel ratio in there and the piston(s) can't complete the cycle causing the engine to seize

it could have been multiple issues, currently the car is at the shop. we can't even turn the motor manually, its not moving. to tell you the truth, i'm a little lost on actually what to do.
