Looking to buy an S2K
Hey guys I'm looking to a buy a used S2K within the next couple of weeks. My budget is 32,000. What can I expect to get for this price? Like what year and mileage should I be looking at to get the most for my money?
Also, what things should I look out for when checking out a used S2000? I don't mean stuff that you check on any used car, I mean stuff that is specific to the S2000 that should be checked.
Lastly, does anyone know anybody, or is anyone looking to sell their S2000? I checked Autotrader and there were some nice ones there but I have not made any calls yet. I want a Spa Yellow, but I'll settle for any colour if the car is in immaculate condition. Do you guys reccomend buying from a dealership or trying my luck with private sales?

1. For that price, probably can get you an '01 at best. Mileage, if the owner uses it as a summer only car, then 10k km / yr. If year around, something in the range of 20k km / yr. would be considered "average"
2. Check the main forum, do a search, this has been covered ad nauseam; there's quite an extensive list.
3. Spa is only made in '01 for Canada that ought to help narrow down your search. As far as buying a used car goes, it's a minefield - do your research and you shouldn't get shafted.

I dont think youll get a SPA for that price. All SPAs have hardtops also. Youll probably have more luck finding a nice 00, or a high mileage 01 (maybe a SPA without a HT?).
But there are fewer and fewer SPAs around every day. Probably down to 20something in left in Canada...
