i work for the ministry of health.
first of all, i would encourage you to contact your local community care access centre. from what you've said about your grandmother, it sounds like she should be eligible for long stay care provided by the gov't. the CCAC will assess her and you can make a decision from there. if you want more than the gov't offers you can examine private options, but it's good to know your public options first.
what part of the city is she in? there are 42 CCAC's across ontario.
