sorry to hear about your accident;

i'd ask for a whole new door rather then weld on a new door skin since welding will cause rust problems in the long run.

but from the pix u've shown in that thread, it actually looks like it can be repaired w/o a new door skin... i've had an accident similar to this and my body shop just pounded the dent out and refinished the surface ... to this day it looks spanking new.

hope you get your car back from the shop lookin' brand new very soon.

good luck.

Dude... ever hear of rsxworld.com? If you have a chance it would be cool to post your RSX info on "our" site

Ya like that's gunna happen. Actually I did install his shift duehicky!!

So Jason, decided on a body shop yet? I'm curious how quickly they can get you in, get the work done, and get your car back to you.
Not yet. I may look around. quick_lude mentioned one. I will wait until the warmer weather hits before i get it repaired. Insurance says i have a year to get it done. No point doing it now with this nasty weather.

So what's up with the hood? Is there someother damage there or is it just the normal kind of stone chip stuff?
A bunch of stone chips litter my hood and 2 little dents. I plan to paint the whole car with better (same colour) metalic paint with a good thick clear coat. Extra $$ but it will be worth it. Metalic paint is harder too.

Yeah you did install that.

I did get those nasty scratches out though for ya..so I guess we're even heh

Why don't you go find that magical backup dude and have him magically back up over the car and write it off...then you can get the S.

And out of curiosity, why spend a wad on a custom paint job on the RSX? You could be saving for a car that drives the proper wheels, the ones in back.

Yo Vince, I left you another question in my Thanksgiving thread.....

Because I may keep my RSX for another year. Still undecided.
