Default Lapping Day @ Shannonville Motorsports Park

Hello everyone, a couple of friends and myself are planning on organizing a lapping day at Shonnonville Motorsport Park. The difference in this event compare to others is its ***PRICING!!!!***

Events such as these usually cost approx. $100-120 CAD and someone along the line is making a too much profit. Therefore, the cost of coming to this event will be FAIR & EVENLY DISTRIBUTED!
Which means higher the attendances, lower the price it becomes!

Now I'm trying to get an approximation as to how many cars will attend!!

SCHEDULE DATE : APRIL 24,2004

TIME : 5:30 - until gate closing (3Hrs)

TRACK TYPE : Fabi Circuit 2.23KM

COST : There is GST of 7% on top of the $275.00 per hour.
($275X3) X 1.07 = $882.75

I've already got 10 cars going, so current price is only $88/person

If 20 cars go, 882.75/20 = $44/person

If 30 car, then 882.75/30 = $29/person

40 cars then =$20/person Price will be divided EVENLY!!

DEPOSIT : A $25 Non- Refundable Deposit is Required
It will be credited towards your cost on RaceDay

There aren't any safety regulations, so helmets are RECOMMENDED ONLY!!
This event is posted on various forums, so it'll allow a greater varity in make of cars.
Track INFO can be found at http://www.shannonville.com

If interested, PM me or email kosoku@accessv.com

Hm, no safety regulations, does this mean that there's no marshalling whatsoever? I don't even want to question track insurance - this sounds like one of those "bunch of guys happen to get together at the track" dealies, no liabilities whatsoever.

Sounds like a free-for-all and its an accident waiting to happen.

I've seen this with other groups (not clubs) and its terrible, I think there's this group call Saturday-Sunday Racing (hahaha ) and they were totally disorganized, one guy spins out and the rest of the 30+ cars on the track were still going at full speed, needless to say there could've been a major pile up.

Also, it says there's 3 hr. of track time because they kick you out @ 8:30 p.m., you have to remember that the Sun sets at 6:33 p.m. today (and increases 1 minute every day after that) so by the time April 24th rolls around the Sunset time should be around 7:30 p.m. or so. And since there's absolutely no lighting @ Shannonville whatsoever, this sounds more like a 2 hr. lapping day than 3 hr. Unless you don't mind the danger and do lapping in the pitch black w/ 30 other cars (HIDs equipped or not, you still can't see the track properly).

BioBanker and hyper
There will be 2 people marshalling.
A Flagger at exit of pit and another on top of tower to look out for spin outs and oil leak.

If attendence goes high enough, groups will be assigned accordingly.

current count at 17 and going....
