Default It's goodbye to my 2008 S2000

Well I'm sorry to say I've unloaded my S2000. This has been a great car. I only had her since May 2011 but I put on 25,000 km and that was while garaged for the winter. I had to sell her in oder tomget down to two cars. My son got his G2. To add him to my policy he would have been considered a principal driver. Now with two cars and three licenced drivers he is an occasional therefore a minor hit in comparison to what it would have been. The good news is I only lost $1,000 from what I paid for it. Once the boy finishes school I hope to be back with another S2000. I have the S2000 until months end when my new S4 arrives. At least I have that to look forward to. I traded my 2010 S4 and S2000 for the new S4. I'll keep following this forum. Good bye for now guys.

I'm was in the exact same situation as you were, however I was able to keep the S2000 along with my D/D Civic, my wife's Accord and still afford the insurance. I'm with RBC insurance and because I garage the S2000 in the winter its considered a seasonal sports car, because of this my son with the G2 was able to sign an exclusion form making it so he can't drive that car. The insurance on the S2000 costs as if only my wife and I were insured on it (about $700 for a full year). My son is attached to my wife's car and insured as if the S2000 didn't exist. My insurance agent said this was a pretty standard thing. It may be a little late now but if the insuarce cost was the problem you could keep the S4 and get another S2000 sooner than you think.

Exclusion form might do the trick in case someone is in similar situation in the future.

I am trying my hardest not to let go of the S, I want my baby girl to be able to have a ride in it when she's good enough to sit in the front seat in anyway.

Ya I could have excluded him. I will be back. I'm driving the living piss out of it right now. I still have it for a few more weeks yet.
