Now it seems everyone here is fairly educated.....why get so bent out of shape over some farm hillbilly had to say? Does it really impact your life or do you just feel sorry for him for being an idiot?
Never having had any racial prejudice put against me (except for Nimesh) I can't relate..however you could have told him you make more in an hour than his whore sister at a barn raising. You need to think faster.

im a srilankan/indian and in my parents countries we treat white folks with respect.
but shit i've lived here almost all my life and have gone through so much race related bull shit, it pisses me off that when i do buy a cottage i might be surrounded by the same racist assholes i was around when i was young.

if i did respond it would've became an acknowledged conflict.
if he said something back, my instincts would've been to pop the trunk, get out and ask him to repeat it again and then proceeded to show him how a metal bar looks.
about if it does impact my life or not.
I'm in the process of looking for a cottage and i just cant put up with this kind of shit and when i do have kids i dont want them around anything like this. Toronto has become very multicultural now and i dont see that kind of racism around kids now days. It's very nice and i want my kids to grow up around areas like these and teach them not to be racists also.
