I'm running 17's for the street and 16's for auto-x so I'll probably go 225/265

I'm lowered a lot, so hopefully I don't rub.

Jay, why don't you just go with the best priced R's Marta's dad can get you?

At our level, we're not really going to notice a hugh difference between R's - just having R's will make a hugh difference.

James, it's the offset and tire width that will effect rubbing.

As long as the offset and tire width are correct, you can dump your car to the ground and it won't rub.

I was lowered about 1.75" all around and never rubbed with 225/265 on stock 16" rims.

yes my point, I would probably rub with 245's in the front, should be ok with 225s

I'm debating if I should buy the end of season V700's on sale at talontire, but they might not be as good stored for the winter season. Plus I might as well keep my cash till spring

What would go wrong with them? Unless you were thinking about outside storage which is a NO NO with r-comps

Shelf life is shorter on R's, everyone says storing them is a no-no.

I would store them in the basement, they might be a tad harder the second year, I doubt I would notice a difference, but the money factor is probably the better reason to wait

What do you think the manufacture does with the overstock? $10 and a coke says they don't throw them out

Have you seen the A048 up close? The grooves aren't as deep as you may think from the pics.

They look cool though.

Dino seems to have liked them more than the victoracers.
