Jay, why don't you just go with the best priced R's Marta's dad can get you?
At our level, we're not really going to notice a hugh difference between R's - just having R's will make a hugh difference.

As long as the offset and tire width are correct, you can dump your car to the ground and it won't rub.
I was lowered about 1.75" all around and never rubbed with 225/265 on stock 16" rims.

yes my point, I would probably rub with 245's in the front, should be ok with 225s
I'm debating if I should buy the end of season V700's on sale at talontire, but they might not be as good stored for the winter season. Plus I might as well keep my cash till spring

Shelf life is shorter on R's, everyone says storing them is a no-no.
I would store them in the basement, they might be a tad harder the second year, I doubt I would notice a difference, but the money factor is probably the better reason to wait
