Default Insurance Question

Hey guys,

I have a question about suspension mods and insurance companies. The majority of the companies out there wont' insure cars that are lowered. So what happens if you get into an accident and your car is lowered and your insurance company isn't aware of it? The liability portion should remain in tact , but replacement costs are tossed? Or is the entire policy tossed?

Thanks!
Mike.

if the insurance company isn't aware of it and the adjuster doesn't notice the fact that it's not OEM suspension, nothing happens

but if they guy is tight and points it out, you may be outta luck completely

ive had many friends who have gotten into accidents with modified cars... I doubt it would be a problem... especially since you drive a honda s2000. Its a sports car, they are supposed to be low.

Yes the odds maybe not high, but there's always a "chance" of having your claim denied.

Question is do you want to take that chance? Or you want to drive the thing worry free?

This thread is stupid. stop being heat guys.
The LAST thing I need is for a broker to read this thread and put a little more attention on s2000's and s2000 owners.

THis is the type of BS we didn't have to deal with when the car was new and 17year olds couldn't afford it.

Mike, if you want a straight answer. Develop a good relationship with your broker and ask him/her off the record. I have done this with lapping events (driver education on a race track) many many times.

/thread.
