Go to shoppers drug and buy patches. Slap one on and the pain will be gone within an hour.

Go get your tonsils or wisdom teeth out. You won't want to smoke if you feel like shit and are in pain

Actually I had a couple wisdom teeth out not that long ago and smoked on the way home.
I think I should take up a nice cocaine habit instead

Actually yeah I smoked 2 hours after getting my tonsils out last year.
had em out the day after I brought my S home. Sat in my living room staring out the window at it smoking and drinking gingerale.

When I quit briefly a few years ago I felt better having a pen or something in my mouth all the time to satisfy that fixation.

( im from the smokey mountain thread and saw this and thought id chime in )

I quit as a New Years resolution and I did it cold turkey. It sucked ass but i go through it going to the gym as much as possible. The more I ran the better I felt. Not to mention the guilt of the first 4 or 5 times you try to run that mile or so and your suckin wind (like a fat kid that tried to scarf a bag of doritoes before his parents noticed) motivates you even more. Lifting has also helped as an outlet for the frustration.

Ive been almost 5 months smoke free minus 2 I had in March on the same night cause I was blitzed .

I think Mike is in need of personal, hands-on guidance and support.

Hang in there Mike. My dad quit 20 years or so ago. He was a 2 pack a day smoker and quite after a friend bet him 5 bucks he couldn't. Did I mention our Scotish heritage?
