I mean a pack a day for the last 13 years.. to nothing. It doesn't sound healthy
Think of it this way Mike your life may depend on this decision. It might make you feel bad, but quitting cold turkey won't hurt you.

But what a shitty 3 days
Knee I think I may do what you say, see if I can get by on 5 a day for a bit, it might be less of a shock to my system.

Go to the doctor or quit cold turkey! I agree with Darren, what you're trying to do is like saying "I'll only have 1 potato chip". It will lead to 2, then 3, then a pack. Fight the temptation Mike!!!

I'll take less than a day for $600 Alex.
Seriously dude, the first two weeks are easy. Yes, what you got was the easy part. It's not until after two weeks that the implications of what you're doing sink in and you get home sick. You realize it's permanent and hat you can never smoke again and that you're not just putting up with an annoyance but making a significant and permanent life change. The physical shit is easy, it's the mental addiction that dooms most people.
The patch makes the physical stuff easy but does nothing for the "just one" head games you play after the initial resolve fades.

Mikey, I can't comment on how difficult what you're trying to do is. I've never had to try but my dad quit cold turkey and he still says it's the hardest thing. (He made it though.)
But i will say, read what you said about taking Nimesh as your role model for cleaner living.... embrace the lunacy of your words, the weakness of your compromise and fight through.
Try to make it at least a week, and if you need to bash someone with a bat to get through it, i can suggest a few ppl you can't work it out on.

Quitting in smaller doses is not a bad idea actually. Smoke less per day, but have the determination that u will smoke none at the end of the quitting period. Honestly, it is easier than cold turkey. That is actually what is recommended by doctors.
good luck, its a tough road no joke.
