In the vain on idiot drivers... I'm working on a contract in north-east Toronto. Every morning I leave the house at around 8:30am and have to drive by a public school. And every morning there's an army of young mothers dropping their kids off (even though most of them live with 5 minutes walking distance)

When I drive by I get about 4 or mothers walking right out in front of my car!! Just crazy! There are two places to cross the street, both with crossing guards, but no! They decide to drag their kids by the arm right out into the street without looking! And it's hard to see them because they all drive SUV's and are hidden before they jump out in front of me.

What really burns me is that if I were to hit someone (even though not my fault) I'd still have to live with it for the rest of my life! Sometimes the pedestrians are worse than the drivers!

Moms like to use their kids as weapons when they cross the road. This whole "pedestrian always have the right-of-way" mentality really irks me. No, pedestrian should be more observant of the traffic situation and co-ordinate with drivers who might cross their path. You know, sharing the road and all that. But apparently that's too much fscking work. These are the same idiots who do 105 km/h in the fast lane in 401 express and never check their mirror.

I've lost count of the number of times some idiot crossed the road in front of me without even realizing that there is traffic coming. You might have the right of way, but I win everytime when I'm in a car.

At least you in a subdivisoin where the speed limits are slow. I have people in Scarborough thinking they are indestructable or something and just walk out into Markham Rd without looking and the limit is 70 there.

I've almost hit a few people but thank god my breaks work well. Then when they finally relize they almost died from me they wave and continue on there way to almost get hit again by the person in the lane beside me.

We definatly need to have weapons on our cars to clear out some of the idiots out there.

That's one thing I like about the rules of driving in HK.

None of this pedestrian right of way BS to cause further congestion.

How many times do you see 10 cars waiting to make the light to turn right only to have some dipshit taking eons to cross a street?

Cross when and where you are suppose to cross, that is all.

You must have been to Ann Arbor...seems that UofM students are dumber than squirrels when it comes to crossing the road. Student 100-225 pounds, car/suv 2000-7000 pounds, they think they will win in a collision. Oh and I have heard group leaders tell incoming freshmen during orientation "This is Ann Arbor you have the right of way any where you cross the street." Guess what, they don't the police have not ticketed drivers who have hit anyone crossing in the middle of a block.

^ when i use to work fulltime in Toronto.. ohh boy.. the cyclists where nuts!! never stopped at a red light, stop sign, nothing! Glad I don't have to put up with that anymore
