Talking I think my resonator is rattling.

I'm not too sure if my resonator on my fujitsubo exhaust is rattling. I have to look at it today to see what it might be. It's a faint rattling sound at around 2k and it only happens some times. I was considering the idea of cutting out the resonator ( if that's what it is). I don't mind the exhaust getting louder but don't want crazy drone. I would cut it out so if it sounded bad I could get it welded back in.
I was also considering getting rid of the exhaust for the t1r 70 em single (I love the look of you single out t1r on Chris's (spoonfed) car. Kick a$$.

Ideas?

Might not be the resonator, just need to re-tighten down the exhaust.

yeah, the t1r is a nice exhaust!

it could be rattling from the spring bolts where your cat meets the header.

I checked all the bolts. Their all tight. It does sound like it's coming from the resonator. I'm going to have to check the welds. I think I might just pull the exhaust off to inspect it from all angles.

Hey Dom. You were right. It was my berk high flow cat. I put on the oem cat and rattling is gone. I already miss the hfc tho.... Sounded alot meaner. Maybe time for a test pipe. I picked up my hfc and gave it a shake, seem like all the webbing inside is loose.

The hfc I bought off of Steve brand new and when I tuned the car I got a bung welded into that cat. I doubt i'd get it replaced. The whole cat honeycomb is loose. Maybe just cut it all out and run it empty?

Does anyone have a test pipe I can borrow for a week or so. Wanna see how it sounds on the car and if I can tolerate the smell
