Even caliper paint can't stand up to track abuse.

BAH whatever, maybe I'm going for the glowing rotor appearance...and flame burns on the fenders adds value to the car.

I do not agree...
You might need better paint, or better ducting.
I have had great luck with the stuff now called G2.
And like anything else, the proper pre-paint prep has a lot to do with how durable the final finish is.

Yeah. When my caliper bolt "failed", the caliper heated up to the point where all the seals melted but the paint still held up.

Alls I know is my calipers look AWESOME.

Rotors still have a little rust around the edge but it's liveable.

I bet you're using black paint

Coloured paint turns very dark after repeated heat cycles. Take a look at Mike's calipers...
