your email does not give any indication of being "scammed"
they said they'd look into it..
take a break and come up for air, have a butt break, and get right back into her

Six months! I don't know of a store that would entertain a "missing part" issue six months after purchase. I would never even ask a store for that kind of service. After six months, shit your dog could have eaten the part.

the problem with this situation is that it's been 6 months
as a purchaser of a product, the onus is on you to inspect/examine your product/gift/whatever upon and after purchase within the day of - 1 week and sometimes up to 1 month (which is pushing it but some stores do offer 30 day return/exchange policies)
the shop is not accountable because it has been so long but if it does do anything about this situation it would be most splendid of them

Would you sell an open product wraped in bubble wrap for full price?

Should a retailer sell a product at full price wrapped in bubble wrap?
Sure, if the buyer wants it.
Its so silly (not to mention environmentally unfriendly and wasteful) that we 'demand' things to be in shrink wrapped, unopened condition. it's absolutely retarded.
That being said, the buyer has responsibilities too.....they definitely should check the contents within a reasonable timeframe.

Yeah - its not like you can go back to a store 6mos later and say you got incorrect change!
I dont think the store is OBLIGATED to do much, but a good store WOULD do what they could.
