I have a problem with a local shop
I bought some stuff about 6 or 7 months ago. I just decided to open the box now, and found that something may or may not be missing.
So I called the shop, and said I wanted what was missing. They said it's been 6 months..what do you expect us to do???
I said give me the parts I "think" are suposed to be there.
They said they are looking into it for me...but I'm convinced they are trying to scam me anyway.
What do you think?

If this is what I think it is there was no box
And if the parts that should have been there were less than 30 to replace EVEN if they were there what's 30 to a shop to have repeat business and good customer service?

was the box sealed?
is the missing part expensive to replace?
If the box was sealed and part was missing, it's a manufacturer issue, although the store could still be nice about it and try to score some cs points with you by getting you the part. If the box was sold to you unsealed, there is a possibility it was a return item, in which case the store should take the responsibility.
In either case it's your word agains theirs and it all simply comes down to the quality of their cs and how much they value your business. Some times a good will gesture over something like this can secure more income for the business in the future or at the very least better their rep.
