Default how do i convert DVD movies to MPEG4?

anyone know?

i have tried a few... ImToo ripper.. and then use PocketDivx... but somehow my handheld can't play it

fred... drop me a sametime, i'll explain the process to you

it's pretty painless... check out doom9 (link already provided above) then i recommend you download virtual dub... i prefer to rip in two steps (DVD to HD, HD to your favourite codec) since you can fine tune the audio/video quality manually
