Ask any Subaru Mechanic, how old is your Mom's?

Really there is a huge issue. In 2004 they started adding stop leak to the coolant which solves the issue but then eats away at the rad.

Ah but the issue is only on the NA models apparently the Turbo's are ok... possibly only the turbo 2.0L?

And once they crack, they just keep cracking

this is the first time I heard about that.

I have doubts about the 2.5L turbo - I look at it as a first year production car mechanically.

But the beefier WRX seems appealing.


Any other options? I am getting to a stage where I am attracted to MiniVans.

Hey, I haven't seen any new GTi's on the road. Are they selling any yet?

Mom's is a 2001 with a bit over 55,000 miles/~88,500 kilometer.

Those pics are a bit deceiving.

Trust me, Doug. Go sit in a 92X and you'll quickly see why the were selling them so cheap.

The '06 WRX IS a 2.5L turbo...
