Doug - you're gonna enjoy this.. my inside UK source just emailed me and Coulthard's all but done for McLaren soon after the Hockeheim GP.. he's headed to Toyota or Jaguar. Dennis is really pushing a deal to sign Montoya , (will mean a change of hats for me )
Jordan will run Mercede's engines in '04
the 2nd Williams seat wide open.. JV ? Fisichella ? or Webber ?..
If I was Frank Williams, and/or Patrick, I'd take a chance and sign Tracy.. man how that would shake up the F1 world !!!! Ah yeh !
now you're up to speed..

My bet is that Fisichella will go to Minardi as he wants a seat in a Ferrari in when MS retires in '06. He made a comment in the past saying he would pay Ferrari if he could drive for them.
Some more on the speculated Montoya trade...

Montoya to McLaren?
Juan Pablo Montoya, British GP 2003

Id be tempted to slap Jacques in the Williams seat with a race by race contract for this year, with an option (for Williams) to pick him up fully for next season.
I bet he would hit that bid...I cant see him at BAR next year anyways, so the downside to him is a few races this year should Williams NOT go on after the first race with him...And the upside is that they've potentially gotten a great driver for a bargain who doesnt look so shit hot beccause of his crappy car.

Jacques is a loser. Period. A cranky overpaid bitter has-been.
You can not blame it all on the car because if that were true why is it that the young kid Button does better than Jacques almost every race?
There is no way BMW should (or would) stick their neck out for an old overpaid fart like Jacques. We are talking about Frank Williams here. Hello? Remember Frank? He is the owner most likely to go with a young blood any day of the week. Frank likes to get them young and mold them into what he wants. He does not have the patience to deal with drivers that have become set in their ways. And as a die-hard BMW fan, Jacques is the last person in F1 right now I would want driving for BMW!
