I need one

Before the lectures start, I don't make it a habbit to speed on city streets. This was bad time bad place.

I got cought in a speed trap on the Bayview/Bloor DVP ramp doing 96 in what supposedly is a 60 Fine! (no pun intended, see this is a freakin pun! idot...) I did know that, just wasn't thinking it at the time. I have a bad tendency to speed up without realizing it when I'm thinking about things that piss me off.

Ticket's for $271, but I care more about points and insurance ramifications.


Spell check sais 404 not found.. does that mean I spelled ramifications correctly? or 404 just isn't a highway worthy of internet recognition?

heh that section has always been known for having a speed trap.

i've gotten 2 tickets in 10 years of driving (both were speed traps, got caught 25 km/h over), used x-copper both times, both tix were dismissed. (they used to guarantee fighting off the points of the ticket or they won't charge you, not sure about now).

Forget the POINTS thing. I tried it once and yes I got out of a $300 ticket but it cost me $400. You probably just need to lump it.

I have a couple pending that I think I could use assistance on. Surprisingly neither in the S, the only ticket I got in it was up north around Bracebridge, and the cop made a mistake, coming in the opposite direction around a somewhat blind turn he pulled a three point turn and pulled me over to tell me I was doin 36 over when I was actually doing 6 over. I'm gonna take that one on myself.

Maybe I'll try x-copper. I'd rather pay $800 now than an extra 600 a year for the next 6 years.

Screw points...they will not do you any good. Had bad experiences and so have others...use Xcopper or just show up in court yourself....if it was a speed trap then chances are the cop wrote many tickets that day and will have many court trials to attend....might be a good chance the piggy wont show up in court

I love that little section too!

On or off ramp? I find that the off ramp part has the traps. With the on ramp, you can blast by the trap and they're not coming after you. That North on Bayview, up the ramp, blast over the bridge and that hard right uphill is way fun to do. Love getting the car to step out on the right hander at the bottom of the hill on the downshift.

I donno what to recommend aside from fighting it.
