Canadian Auto Associates
Vella's Auto
2 really good places, I find Canadian Auto Associates more professional and better overall. I got my S there, but both of these places have good prices and quality cars.

prestige toys is a joke.. went there with a friend before.. most of those cars are u.s cars.. they had a maybach there that clearly had a repair done before but was so poorly fixed you could see the bondo just cracking through.. and this was a car they were selling for 185,000.. i can only imagine how bad the lower end stuff is..

A lot of dealers in GTA are a joke. To buy a car, you need to take a mechanic, a bodyman and a wealth of knowledge to pick out cars and detect for things that are being covered up.
Buy a paint dept guage as well as an OBD2 scanner.
There is nothing wrong with US cars, but just be careful. I am so paranoid that I not trust anyone. If you have a buddy or friend with a dealership license to buy direct from dealer auctions, you can find a great vehicle off lease with all the defects, repairs, accidents disclosed before you bid. If I didn't purchase a new vehicle, that is the route I would take.
Canadian Auto Associates are very good from what I hear as well as Vella's Auto. Both a little on the pricier side comparatively, but it's well worth the extra money for piece of mind!

I have an OBD2 scanner (own a VW ).... what would be the advantage of that? I assume if they are trying to cover something up, they would just clear the codes anyway.
Paint depth gauge? linky?
Thanks,
P

I heard of a lot of shady dealers just removing the engine light from the dash of cars that look nice and clean, but have tons of engine problems. acually I've had two customers come in with that problem. couldn't believe how many codes showed up! one of them had 18 trouble codes! those guys should be arrested.
