I don't know what kind of response you'll get as the T.O. boyz are not much into spending the time using a PC to detail their car. They have me Furthermore, I've kinda spoiled them in always doing it for them.. < sigh >

But it is a good idea.. I simply couldn't wait for mine Canada is quite poor in having specialty tools as such.. so I went straight to the source last year.. <http://www.properautocare.com>

great service but shipping is slow..

Most autoparts stores carry them, Canadian Tire has them.

Not terribly hard to find.

The hard part is getting the wheels and pads. Thats the fun part and Proper is the place to go. Oh yeah and the weight.

Whew, I'm glad you qualified that by mentioning Simon!

I purchased my PC from Costal Tools and it cost nearly $200 Cdn to get it home.
Coastal Tool

The PC7424 priced at $119US; included a white foam bonet and a bonus velcro backed sanding pad.

Canadian Tire does sell them for well over $225. When pricing locally I found several tool supply houses that didn't have the PC in stock but would order it in. The best costs were about $225 to $228, plus taxes.

I still haven't found a good local source for the yellow and orange applicator pads for the velcro backed sanding pad.

Check out:
http://bimmer.roadfly.org/bmw/forums/detai...=1430487&page=1
for a great how to article explaining how to use the PC to apply wax and 3m swirl remover. It gives a great explanation of the available pads and their uses, as well as how to apply the product to the work area.

I can't wait to get mine out on the S2K and put it to good use. I currently have it mounted on my work bench to use as a shoe polisher.

I know, I know, I am a sad excuse for a human being.
