Ive asked the lawyer at work who looks after me what he would do about this.
He said dont do a first attendance meeting. He said if you go in and say "Ive fixed what was wrong", thats admitting guilt and then Im cooked.
He said plead not guilty and he said he'd craft a letter of documentation for me. He said that because its a small thing, they probably wont take the time to provide me with the evidence ahead of time, at which point both tickets get thrown out when I go to court.
You guys have had success with the 1st attendance meeting? Ian, you were able to say in court that you didnt have the plate on at the time, but that you corrected it and they threw it out?
The cop told me they'd throw it out in court too if I provided evidence showing that I fixed the things.
Not sure what to do. I could always do both.

Ive done 1st attendance for no plate before on my mustang I went in the guy said "do you have a plate on now?" I said yes and he said "fine its dropped have a nice day" and I was on my way in about 15 seconds. Worst case scenario with a 1st attendance is if you dont like what the JP says you can go ahead with the trial - its like a second chance.

Yeah that's what happened when I got a noise ticket for my exhaust, I went in to first attendance, they said "Did you take care of the noise" I said "Yes, I installed a resonator." they asked how much I spent on it, I told em, they said okay, ticket is dropped!
Easy as that.
