I dont get why people buy a performance car and then put junk rubber on it.
Tires have the most impact of everything you put on your car. Good rubber will do more than $10k worth of other mods.

none of the tires mentioned here are junk.... do some research
the type of tire depends on the intended use of the driver.
Not everyone drives their car to the limit....

I just bought the T1-R... Good grip, quiet tire, excellent in rain.. soft sidewalls... might return them, for the additional 100.00 I should have gotten the S02 since I only drive the car in sunny weather and use the beater for crappy days.
Cheap tires would only be worse then the t1-r, so I would say take the bus for a while and save your money and get good tires. Else you will take away the fun factor from the car

my previous track tires were T1-S's...they had excellent grip, just the sidewalls were soft. You do loose some steering responce. I adjusted my driving style to compensate. I have Hankook Z212's on my track rims. Similar grip to the T1-S with slightly stiffer sidewalls. T1-S, T1-R's and Z212's are more then enough for street use.
