The Mach 1 is a very solid car. A real healthy amount of power. The 3rd gen Coyote V8 is really good and modern (not a pushrod). 7500 redline and sounds amazing. The magnaride suspension is excellent a very, very good handling car considering its size and weight. I had a 2017 Mustang GT with the Performance package. It did not have magnaride in 2017. The 2017 was good, with magnaride its amazing. The car came with a Ford performance driving school program at Charlotte Speed Way in North Carolina, so I have had a chance to fully appreciate it. Full hard day on the track zero brake fade. Oil cooler, transmission cooler. It can take the track "out of the box" no problem. Also, the tremec 6 speed transmission. So solid and satisfying to use. One of the best manuals I have ever had. The MT82 that is used in the Mustang GT has had some challenges especially when adding boost and getting up to 700-800 hp. I think the modern Mustangs suffer from the perception of the past and the crash into the crowd videos. It's a very good car for the money. I don't daily it but you could easily. Big trunk, great visibility and no problem driving normally around town, active exhaust when you don't want to draw extra attention. (It even has a "good neighbor function" puts in quiet mode on cold start based on time of day). The interior of the S550 gen looks a bit dated now but its comfortable and very functional. The only problem with this car for me is that there isn't really much to do it. There is not really a "project" aspect to it. A guy can only wash and polish it so many times. The need for a project is the void that the S2000 fills. It gives me something to work on plus I love driving it too.
