Default Garage Queen options

Hey guys,

I'm moving from a home into a Condo with 1 parking spot for my daily driver. I need a place to park my S and store my S when winter comes. I'm hoping for something like a self storage unit but I'm getting quotes for $300 per month for one of those.

Any other ideas that would be a little more economical or is the $300/mth self storage unit the best option?

Thanks guys

I'd imagine there would be parking for rent somewhere in that condo parking no? Could keep it at a family member's house or friend's place until you get that?

These are quotes for storage downtown? Have you tried more uptown ?

Rent another spot in your condo. Or rent a spot in a friend or another family members building.

should be somewhere between 50-200/month depending on the building and area.

Post an ad at the building. Old ladies generally don't have cars and are willing to rent their spots for cheap. I rented from my brother over the winter to store my S.

Yup this. I rent a spot right now in my condo for $120 a month. I don't park my S there but that would make more sense than spending 300$/month on a storage unit considering you still have access to the car.

i'd check with your condo to see what it would cost to add a spot to your fees. Otherwise, consider storing it outside town- like in sarnia- i think my last quote here was less than $200. You guys in the GTA always get hosed with the crappy commute, high insurance, and impersonal concrete jungle.

I had my S2000 stored at one of the condos at Square One for $25/month in a spot that was away from any other cars, so nobody would park next to the car. You should try finding something similar in a condo building.
