Default G2 Caliper Paint

Does anyone know where to buy G2 caliper paint locally? I was going to buy online but was shocked at shipping costs. I guess because it's considered dangerous goods it has to be shipped by ground and can get very expensive. I need to paint my rear calipers red once I put my StopTech kit on the front

If you're in toronto there's a shop that does in house painting. Check them out.

I could only find it at tirerack.com, which needs to be shipped like you said.

I've used G2 and Duplicolor, G2 is a stronger paint with it being Epoxy, but Duplicolor is really easy to touch up if it chips with it being a ceramic paint. I don't mind the Duplicolour for that reason, I've had it on the rear brakes for a five years and it still looks good. Duplicolor gives you quite a bit of paint so you always have touch up paint available if needed in the future. I have even used it to touch up the non- wearing surface of my rotors as I had quite a bit of paint leftover. The G2 paint has to be tossed out once it is used so you won't have touch up paint for it.

Just buy the vht one from Canadian tire. Since your replacing front calipers you have to bleed the brakes anyway so you may as well take the rear calipers off disassemble them and spray them and flush with some DOT 4 fluid. I did that to mine as long as you clean the calipers really well and do nice light even coats they will come out perfect. I know the wheel is on but here is a pic of mine

Trying not to powder coat because I don't want to bake/reseal. Cool spot though

Might try if I can't get G2 locally

I've used VHT before and wasn't super impressed. Looking for a permanent type solution. I find VHT lasts only a couple years
