ouch...
shouldn't post that in here and intimidate first timers. If you drive within your limits and not like a dick then you should not loose control of your car. Plain and simple, you aren't tough if you drive faster than your abilities.

It's about advocating safety, what just because the picture isn't posted means stuff like that doesn' thappen? come on.
A well organized track day is safer than driving our cars out on the street everyday.

all I'm saying is that we don't know the story behind the crash. There are so many things that may have happened to cause this. Of course incidents do happen, but few and far between if cars are tech'd properly, event is run well and everyone is civil on the track.

And we don't need to know the story. The point of the picture was to show that things can happen at the track and it's more prudent for us to protect our heads (that was what we were discussing before.)
Even if you tech the cars, there's no way you can guarantee against a failure. I mean, what's the guy to do, strip the car down to its frame and then crack test every major suspension component? It's a risk we all run as weekend warriors. Want the parts to last longer? Treat it better, stop bashing the kerbs on the track and it'll be easier on the wallet

Took the pic down. It was not my intention to scare anyone away. Just pointing out that safety is important and should be on your mind anytime you are pushing the limits of your car. A helmet is cheap protection. If you are going to track your car you should invest in one.

so with that said, we should set up a s2k time attack like speedventures!
