Kimi would have won if not for engine failure. Championship may be slipping away, which is unfortunate, as he is the best driver this year.
I do not agree...

JizzBoy makes Rookie mistake.

Also, no brilliant predictions of race win this weekend.

SCHU NOT DARING TO PREDICT CHANCES
Last Updated: Friday, 08, July, 2005, 18:22

World champion Michael Schumacher says he is "not daring" to predict his chances of a fourth British Grand Prix victory at Silverstone, despite an encouraging first day.

Although his fastest time placed him outside the top ten overall, Schumacher claimed Ferrari had achieved progress in the pair of hour-long practice sessions held at the Northamptonshire venue on Friday.

"If you look at the times you can see that over one lap it looks as though we are again a bit weaker but on the long runs I look a bit better," he said.

"What will it mean for Sunday's race? I don't know.

"Not surprisingly McLaren seemed very strong. I don't want to put out predictions but maybe I can give out some hope."

Schumacher admitted that the world champion team had been taken by surprise in the French Grand Prix and didn't want to fall into the same trap again.

"In Magny-Cours I was quite optimistic the whole weekend because we had a good test coming to France and I really had the feeling to say we could realistically fight for the victory," he said.

"And everybody knows how the race went in the end.""I don't dare to predict what will happen (this weekend), but we really worked well today."

Perhaps Schumacher's mind was on such things when he made a rookie error and ran into the back of Nick Heidfeld's Williams as the pair came into the pits at the end of the first practice session.

"I didn't expect him to brake that early but I wasn't concentrating enough - that's why I didn't react quickly enough," explained Schumacher.

"There was small damage on the nose of my car but it was not that big."

I seem to remember a driver locking up his wheel during a race cause his front right tire to flat spot, that lead to a suspension failure, which caused him to crash out of lead....I would call that a mistake - A BIG ONE!!!!
