Does anyone know a number that I can use to call long distance for free? I have a number but only works for 905 area code. I live in Pickering and can call Aurora, Mississauga, Brampton, etc. I need a number to call Guelph.

Not sure if this helps, but Vonage is now available here. We have it on one line in the office, works very well. Free long distance across North America.

I dont want a service plan. There are secret numbers that you call, listen to a commercial and then it will tell you to enter the number that you wish to call. The one I have is only for 905 area codes.

doesn't work anymore, I used to use that all the time but then they got smart and started making people sign up for it as well.....

you have to sign up though. It's 25 dollas a year, but you have 100 calls a month, each call has a limit of 30 mins each, but you can call the same person again after your 30 mins is up. I believe this is plenty, 100 calls a month, pretty much any where in ontario. You can call from just about anywhere as well. Just look up the access number. Although you have to pay an annual fee of 25 dollas. Or you can gather a group of your friends and split the cost up
