I've still never been! It's close enough to me, I just heard all these wive's tales about local residents sabatoging the roads. Perhaps just urban legends.

nope the stories are true im from brampton just down the raod and couple of buddies used to go riding up there and they acctually saw an older gentlemen dumping sand all over the corner near his residence every one stopped and asked what he was doing and he said he was just cleaning around the yard my buddy asked if he knew how dangerous that was to all the bikes and cars that pass ther all the time and he stated it "serves them right coming up here making all that noise and speeding"

Yup, it's true. Regardless, not really a good time for agressive driving at the Forks, cold weather and summer tires don't mix.

I think aggressive/track style driving should never happen on the streets regardless of the season, but either way the locals pulling crap like that is unbelievable.

If i were your friend I would've called the cops. Whether it was yard waste or sabotage, it's illegal to dump and thing on a public road. Anybody with a brain can tell he's made up some phony cover to claim he had no malicious intent.

People have been seriously hurt on that road, I believe even died there as a result of "mysterious" slippery road conditions.
