Default Exhaust Help

Hey guys..I've been searching brands, prices , etc. on exhaust for my S2k.
I'm sort of interested in the T1R....i've found 3 on ebay from 2 dealers in BC, ON.

T1R 70R Ti single $1499 CAD

T1R 63mm Sparrow dual cat back $935 CAD

T1R 70R Sparrow catback (single I believe) $1050 CAD

I'm looking bang for the buck, sound and performance . I realize that I won't gain much but my only plans for the car are intake, exhaust (possibly header and test pipe later on).....and maybe 4.56 gears.

Any thoughts on this? Thanks guys...

For performance gains, the dual wont get you much.

The T1R 70R Ti is light, and is the best one of the bunch, hence the higher pricetag.

Keep in mind though, 70mm exhausts are extremely loud. Are the gains worth it? thats up to you.

BKL thanks for the input...I was considering duals (T1R) because of the loudness....lol. It's a DD so i'd have to live with it EVERYDAY.

BTW, do the dual T1R come in Titanium like the single?

the t1r 63mm is livable as a dd only if you have the silencer in but this is just my opinion. i seriously wouldn't recommend a single exhaust for a year around driver with the exception of the j's 60rs

the dual t1r sparrow along with the newer 70mm sparrow doesn't come full titanium, it's stainless steel for everything except the tips which is titanium. full titanium dual exhausts usually run upwards of 1800$+

check out the sponsor group buys, ajr is having a special or u can always check out speedstar

yap
if you want quieter, then run a dual setup

however, if you want a single setup which is quiet, then look into the J's 60RS.

just an option but i went with the fujitsubo exhaust (dual)... havent got it yet ...as its in the process of shipping ..but its one of the quietest for the gains you get out of it... somewhere around 3-5whp. And the sound is nice and deep too.. great for a DD.... especially since theres no drone..

I'm still in love with my Comptech. Quiet, but loud enough, probably on par with the Fujitsubo from what I gather. I'd go with either of the two, whichever is the better deal. Although fitment and final quality seems slightly better with the comptech from what I've read. Mine installed and hangs perfect, it's been on my car for a week or so now.

I dunno if you're opposed to it, but I'd say look around for something used, since it's not a show car you're building here, and it looks like you're financially conscious.

For dual you can't beat the sound of Fuji or Mugen.

For single, 60rs as BKL suggested.
