If its made in the US, make sure the shipper marks clearly that they are MADE IN THE USA and they're should be no duty.

Heh if you can convince them to do that? Send them a picture and they'll do anything for you.

Have them mark it on the invoice, that'll probably work better.

I wonder if I ask them to ship tires draped in the American Flag, will that be enough?

Yep, but they won't show it on TV. Support our troops and all.

If its made in the US then you don't pay duty but you will pay GST and PST at the border. Call customs Canada. I imported a CF hood and had to pay the tax, the hood was made in the US.

How goods qualify under NAFTA
Your goods qualify for the United States duty-free rate under NAFTA if they are:

for personal use; and
marked as made in the United States or Canada; or
not marked or labeled to indicate that they were made anywhere other than in the United States or Canada.

Border Information Service
Call BIS within Canada (1-800-461-9999)
If you call during office hours (08:00 - 16:00) local time, you can also speak directly to an agent for more specific information.

When I ordered Kumhos and as well another set of Hankooks (Made in Korea)
from tirerack and discount tires, the Duty, brokerage and Tax came to around $70-90
for each set of tires.....it was still overall chaper then buying here.

High end Potenzas are more then likely made in Japan, im guessing Duty would be around the same as what I paid.

Even if its made in the USA you still have to pay PST and GST. Wait until July 1 and save yourself 1%
