Default drive shaft spacer / axle issue

Hey guys so broke an axle pic below , I bought a used one from Toronto jdm ( that ended up being f@#ked ) and we noticed that we couldn't get the lowver balljoint into the lower control arm, took off the drive shaft spacer (t1r) and it went in perfect . Could the pressure from being retarded tight with the spacer cause the axle to break like in the picture? We noticed this must of been an issue before because the same side axle was a junk yard replacement.

Had to get the car out of the shop so drove it home and clunks very bad axle is f@#ked

Hate buying used to going to buy new axles now but don't want this issue happening again if its the spacers causing this

07 Ap2

Thanks

My other mechanic said it could possibly be the messed up axle not going all the way in causing the the issue with the spacer going to swap the outter and put it on my old axle

Had this exact same failure location a month ago on what appears to have been an aftermarket unit on the d/s.The paint on the shaft is shiny unlike the matte oem.
