Default does anyone know anything about wheel studs??

on thursday, i was driving back home and i notice after a turn that my wheel started to wobble quite a bit.. i stopped right away outside my house... quickly jacked up my car and yah.. basically what happen is 3 lug nuts ripped right off my wheels.. and took the wheel stud.. or part of it with it... and one wheel lug was still attached to the wheel or else my front would of dropped...

i did some research and apparently i think i need to replace 4 wheel studs ... the rotor is fine... but 3 of the wheel studs are essentially curved, twisted and cut off...

i put on the stock wheel to the best of my ability and put it in my garage... i dont want to tow it and its undrivable sicne only one wheel stud and wheel lug are on safely while the others are not...

does anyone know how hard it is to change wheel studs or does anyone have a mechanic they know that could come to my house to do this? I'll pay them... Can speedstar help with this?

Thanks for everyone's help

Wheel studs are easy to replace. Simply, they are just pressed into the hub. Hardest part is removing the hub. Any shop should be able to do this easily.

Sounds like your wheels were over torqued.....AloT!

Ian is right, its not hard for a good shop to fix, but I wouldn't drive it.. you could die on a local road, a tire falling off is never a good thing.. get it towed!

Thanks Mindcore,

I never intended to drive it back on the road; I am trying to find a mechanic to come to my house to fix it perhaps.. if that is even possible?

I'll go purchase the wheel studs first.

Thanks everyone.
