i use both the WolfGang Autobathe and the Poorboys.. i recommend both as well the Meguiar's stuff.. and remember the higher end soaps don't tend to "sud" as much..
the turtle wax being that it is supposedly designed for cars, will be no doubt better than dishwashing detergent, and/or car washes' soap.
Its difficult to determine what kind of effect it will have atm. After a few layers of something, then wash then see how the water beads , does it remove most of the polish ? , does it film ? things like that will be the test.

I should be good to go but not 100% - I don't need anything done to the car.
Nabeel - My car had about 10 meters on it when I first Zainoed it - you will have no problems.
Rob - I have never had a problem clay barring my car - sounds like exactly what Simon said - grit in the clay....
