Seeing how the other poll shows most ppl prefer a drive up north, here are the 3 dates I propose (seeing how it's near the end of august and there's still no plans in the works)

Sept 29th might be a bit early judging from the past two falls, October 7th and 8th is the Thanksgiving long weekend and there's the weekend after that.

I was thinking a lunch gathering, then a drive, photoshoot and then call it a day. This might be more flexible for those who are attending (but not hosting) Thankgiving gatherings with families and friends.

I'll go research on some routes to go on; feedbacks, suggestions, routes, etc are welcomed
