Sooooooo, did you pay them $200?

Balzz, they were on the infield track not the oval.

Interestingly you would think the Carrera GT would be a safeish car (yes I know this was 150mph) but it was originally developed for racing, you would think a monocoque frame would keep the passenger and driver fairly secure. It looks like the car didn't absorb the impact and all the forces were on the occupants.

Being scared in a car with someone driving is different than having "fear" at the track numb nuts

BTW... that bet is still on you know.

I'll gladly take your US bux away from you.

And if the entrance was to be at a fast part of the track, why weren't there any marshalls????
From what I read there was, he gave the F-car the okay to go out onto track. The F-car hesitated and looked back at traffic, then decided to go. At this point the marshal was indicating stop and it was too late, the F-car went out onto track and made himself an obsticle. The driver of the F-car is going to have some huge karmic retributions in the future as he played a major role in the death of 2 people... dumb ass.

What do you mean man.... Look at all the parts scattered around.

It appears it hit pass front, slammed into the pass side and bounced back off the wall a few feet.

150mph ish (240kph) into the wall would kill superman dood.

Gotcha. I had assumed part of the oval was being used as a straight.

I still remember watching Greg Moore's crash and my first instinct was to curse ovals.

It's CF that's why parts are all over the place they shattered, it really doesn't look like it absorbed much, probably because it looks like it hit mostly on the side of the front. Those are the worst.

Just like watching the indy race on the weekend, the one guy hit the wall at 200mph but hit it backwards, no parts anywhere but he hurt his back, as the impact was in the transmission tunnel.

Just like Ralf's crash last year at Indy. It's a good thing he did hit the wall backwards because the rear crash structure, tranny, and engine all helped dissipate the impact.

If there can be such a thing as a 'good' photo, these are them. Look at how it moved the concrete section back.

The car lost a lot of stuff during impact.
