Where does your clutch pedal begin to engage?

for example, 0 would be right at the initial release and 10 would be right near the top.

The reason I ask is because i'm buying a used '03 and during the test drive the clutch was engaging at around the 7.5-8 point. I just want to know if that's normal or should I expect a clutch replacement soon.

i think it really matters the car, mine was a little lower, I think 6ish to 6.5 on your scale.. as well as when my neighbour's had his sebring, no joke..

Yeah I'd say more like 6.5-7.0 but still fairly high.
