Default Center Console Removal?

Im constantly plugging in and pulling out my GPS into and out of the center console lighter, so its become loose. Its now totally come apart within the console, and I cant figure out how to get my hands in there. Ive tried through the trunk - cant do it, wont fit.

Ive pulled a bunch of obvious screws out around the secret compartment and in the storage bin, but still no avail.

How do I get in there so I can screw the lighter back together? Ive searched and there doesnt seem to be anything on this..

I feel your pain! I removed mine some time ago and boy was it a &%*%!

put your top halfway up. remove the armrest then remove the 2 screws directly under it. remove the panels behind each seat(the ones with the vents) in the top left corner of where those panels are screws, remove them. Remove the 4 screws under the secrect compartment then close. remove the screw in the middle of the main compartment. now directly behind the center console is a small panel between the two headrests about 4x9". remove it and I believe there are three screws.

It's on page 20-78 of the manual

There are 14 screws and 9 clips.

Download the manual if you don't have it. It's invaluable.
