I went through on of those touchless car washes too coz the car was getting dirty and I didn't have any time to clean it... god such a bad idea.. I wouldn't say it was a fish tank or anything but both me and the passenger got some spray to the face and shoulder...

If you're one of those minimal effort kind of guys, you could spend a little bit of money and getting a pressure washer and a soap gun attachment. Will run you about a 100-150 on a cheap pressure washer and I found the gun for around 15-20 dollars. Makes the wash pretty quick.

Personally to keep the paint in shape I would hand wash it every once in a while and go through the whole detailing process.

Just do a regular wash every now and then and detail once every month or 2 ?
Or you could just pay someone to do it lol

 

mine has seen handwashes only

but because it's never driven in the rain it's mainly just dust from being stored for a week
so it's an easy wash.

 

Some good resources in that link, especially the full guide that MikeyC wrote. I guess there's probably a few things that I could do myself, but the full detailing isn't my style. I'd get bored and half ass it so I'm more of a pay-someone-else kindof guy for that. Any detail shops around Mississauga (particularly port credit/clarkson area) that people would recommend?

The care of the roof is something that I wouldn't even have though about if I hadn't seen that guidebook. Definitely going to get some of that vinyl protection stuff suggested in there.

Even with my hardtop, Automatic carwashes spray through my moldings and leak over the windows.

If you ever want to drive down to the falls for a detail let me know Iv got some great friends that do detailing as well as myself.
