Default Busted going too fast on on/off ramps??

Can you get a speeding ticket going too fast here? i.e. going ~60km/h in a yellow-signed 30km/h ramp when the road/weather conditions are good.

i was stopped by a b!tch cop last friday leaving work for doing exactly that. he gave me a lecture about how it's not the indy 500 and crap while i was going well under the limit of the car for the given conditions. like most of us probably, i drive with the flow of traffic on straights, but i like to push it in corners since it seems like it's the only place to have 'legal' fun. now it seems like i can't even do that

Ya, if it says 30KPH, its 30KPH, has no bearing on whether the car can do 100kph or not. Its still speeding.

You were lucky

mike, i believe the yellow speed limit signs are recommended ramp speeds, not absolute like the white ones. i remember reading that way back in the MTOs driver handbook

dave, no ticket, but the point is i think the cops are becoming super-anal nowadays. power trips?? i dunno. what happened friday was a warning to me that i could be charged *next time* with something like dangerous driving since it's subjective and up to the cop to decide.

to me, they're MUCH better off nailing the idiots going 95 in the passing lanes when the flow is going 130km/h.

yellow - "soft limit"
white - "hard limit"
