that is quite unfortunate you have such little time to enjoy such a beautiful car

10K is pretty stiff for a street car actually. That's 550 lb/in. I would love to see how that feels in the S. I'm sure it doesn't compare to my 1000's on the civic but still....

yup....same.

maybe albert DOESN'T know what he's talking about....

Albert never said the spring rates were different.

Albert said when you hold the US spring and the JDM spring, the JDM one is heavier and the wire thickness is heavier. That's all. They are the same spring rates, but he said the JDM springs were of higher quality.

My personal opinion is that it feels too soft.

Nope... won't be going to Speedstar. There is another guy I go to that did all the work on my Prelude. I'm very happy with him.

He'll do any camber adjustments & then we'll corner weight the car (hopefully before the Saab schol)

Ok, I'm reviving this post to let people know my experiences with the install of the USDM version of the BC's. I got them installed yesterday & before I did I read a few horror stories on the forums.

1) The coilovers where in boxes labeled FRONT & BACK... unfortunately these were incorrect, but luckily Bruce (the guy doing the install) recognized this.

2) No nuts were provided to mount the coilovers??? He called BC US and they said they'll send some out ASAP; however, we decided to save time he would make his own. Again, for an experienced shop, not a big deal.

3) When I drove the car the 'shock knock' from the front was unbelievable!! I thought the suspension was falling apart! Bruce had a look and the nuts at the top of both front coilovers had come loose??? He tightened them, I drove around for 20 minutes and the knock came back again. This time he tightened them with the air tool & they're ok so far. To be safe I'm getting locking nuts, I don't like the idea that a normal socket cannot tighten these f'ing things enough to stay tight!

One thing I am happy about is that there is no 'shock knock' when tight, I couldn't take the terrible sound that use to come from my old Prelude suspension and I had read more than one post with people having these types of issues with BC's.

4) Apparently, on the stock left front strut there is a little hanger for the brake line. This was missing from the BC's (another WTF???).

Other than that, the install wasn't bad. No cutting of bolts, dremeling and whatnot that I had read about online. For the price I paid, I really can't complain. Once they settle in, I'll get a 4-wheel alignment & corner weight.

Hope this helps anyone considering a set of US BC's.
