Bio, where did you call? I should try a couple of places I have been getting tires for years and see if they can do better. It can't hurt to try...

Yep, the Saab school is just that, a driving school where you get plenty of track time, time on a watered down skid pad, and in class instruction.

There are plenty of course like this around, the reason we get so excited is that the instructers are top notch, the keep the loogans out, so there is little fear of writing your car off.
Shannonville is an easy track for begginers, but great for advanced drivers too.

You get to listen to Derrik Hanson, owner of DECH motorsports and Ferrari head instructor yap about all that is drving..
Trust me, you get there and all you want to do is drive, when he starts talking all you want to do is sit there all day and listen to him.

For the most part, a good group of level head guys attend, and frankly its fun as hell.

If any of the newbies are new to the car...you will learn more about safely handling the S in one day, then you will all summer on the street..its that good.

Be forwarned though.. the spots go real quick, especially in the novice class, so book as soon as we post that its open.

If you can prove you have enough track experience under your belt you can move into the intermediate or advanced classes right away...but like I said, these guys aren't about ego, and if you are truely a novice, you won't last 10 minutes in the advanced group, so don't try and bluff yor way past it..

I think I will be stuck in the beginner's group this year since I missed the last session.

My rice-ego has been torned.

Anyone have solid connection to tires? I need a set of Kumho MX's for the Prelude since no one wants to buy my car.

I called three places, Talon Tire in Montreal, who could do it for $1002 per set (minimum of 5 sets) not installed but shipped after tax. Two toronto places, I dont have the names, just numbers (yeah, thats right, no names). I was getting bounced from Toyo dealer to Toyo dealer, most of them saying that those tires do not exist (Ive had a few sets was my response), until one called the rep to find out where they could be had.

416-754-0997 gave me an installed after tax amount of $1100, 905-565-1398 gave me an installed after tax amount of $1012.

I am definately good for a set should someone be able to get something cooking.

This Sabb school sounds pretty interesting. I've always wanted to do something like this but never knew how to get started. Does Sabb provide cars or do you have to use your own? I don't think my dad would appreciate me sneaking out his car on to the track.
